Mary Ida Kirk, was called to Heaven Monday, February 21,2022 at the age of 87. A devoted Christian, she loved her family and God.
Mary Ida was born October 20, 1934, in Pennington Gap, Virginia to the loving parents of Taylor Gibson and Exie Peters, one of eight children.
She is preceded in death by her husband Hershel Kirk, parents, brothers: Taylor Gibson, Bob Gibson, Cecil Gibson, and sister, Helen Sue.
Mary Ida is survived by her son Hershel “Bo” Kirk and daughter Terry Brennan, Grand Children: Cubby Kirk, Sara Perks, Mary Sue, Great Grand Children: Steven Kirk, Eric & Emily Perricone, Brothers: Tony Gibson, Danny Gibson, and Jerry Gibson, Great Great Grandchildren, extended family members, loved ones, and friends.
Nan loved her family, and her family loved her. She was the epitome of unconditional love. Marry Ida, Nan, Nanny- You will be forever missed.
A graveside service will be held late March early April in Sterling, Virginia. Please contact the family for future details.
